For The Love of Cupcakes!!

So I guess I have to give thanks where thanks should be given. lol. My brother posted a recipe I apparently NEEDED to make on my facebook wall last week... DEATH BY OREO Cupcakes. Needless to say.... They were/are an AMAZING hit!!!!!
I sent him to work with 1/2 a dozen of these babies and he called with an order for a dozen more!! So those were baked up last night and now I have 15 available for individual sale... while they last!! $2 a cuppycake w/ a small delivery charge depending on the location and amount of the order!! :)

I also decided to do a "GOBBLE & WOBBLE SPECIAL" for Turkey Day.. I thought it was a great idea... get some extra money for the holiday and help some people out with not having to do the baking... but I got no bites.. Its alright though. I am going to be doing a Christmas Special as well... so maybe Christmas Goodies will be more welcoming?! IDK - Keepin the dream alive!! ;)

This calls for an update!!

Since my last post I had 2 more orders for those yummy Carrot Cake Whoopie Pies!!! Thank you Lauren and Marianne!!

OMG guess what just showed up Beckie Marks! The carrot cake whoopie pies from Wicked Sweets! Lauren does not like cake but loves these! She said they would be awesome as oatmeal cookies too! These are amazing! I thank you but my a$$ does not! hehe!

I also took some time to play with another oatmeal cookie recipe... I made what I am calling: Cape Cod Crazy Oatmeal Cookies! They were quite the hit with everyone I shared them with!! So they're definitely added to the cookie list :)  Craisins, White Chocolate & Walnuts MmMmMm




I also took some time to do some baking with my kiddo... We made some Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes! I kinda over filled the cones so the cake bubbled over the top... but I threw some frosting on them and X covered them with sprinkles and they were good to go!! Definitely something yummy, easy, and fun to do with my son who loves to help out in the kitchen... always wanting to add the 'gredients!! ;)


I have some more cookie ideas swimmin around in my head... look for Lemon Ginger and Toffee creations to come next!!!

Just got my carrot cake woopie pies in the mail, & HOLY COW!!!!!!!!even better than I expected :) Theyre like little carrot cake cream pies on steroids!!!!!!! Thanks so much

WEEKEND UPDATE!

Good Morning Wicked Sweets Fans!!! This weekend was quite eventful and also included a LAZY SUNDAY :)

Logan's cake was finished for Sunday afternoon pick up! It was fun making this Halloween themed birthday cake. 2 layers of Orange colored vanilla cake with orange (colored) buttercream filling. All topped off with black/grey buttercream and fondant Halloween icons... hand painted by me :) I also picked up some gourmet lollipops to stick out of the top, they brought it all together and I was happy with the final result! I even decorated the cake board with fun Halloween stickers!!

 

Last night I also started my first mail order... Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie Cookies... 2 dozen! Something horrible happened with the batter and all my cookies came out like crisps... and not so crispy I might add. When i tried to get them out of the pan they just crumbled. I managed to save about 24 of them so I could have atleast a dozen done for this morning.....

So this morning I dropped X off at school... it up Stop and Shop for some more oats and remade the cookies... SO MUCH BETTER!! I figured out what my issue was last night as well...... I only used a cup of flour and the recipe calls for 2 1/4 cups!!!!! Go me!

BUT! Cookies were saved and shipped out this morning via USPS... They should arrive Wednesday!! Some cookies were even still warm as I wrapped them up for packaging!! MmMmMmm!!

BAKING - Something I can control

After being lazy all after work yesterday... and drama (life!)... I got some brown sugar this morning so I could finally bake some Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie Cookies!! 2 1/2 dozen have been made... and I still have a dozen in the kitchen left after separating some out to give away (Had to of course pack a bag for Xyanders teachers ;))!! I am itching to get my bake on and start perfecting some recipes! These are the best Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie Cookies yet!!! I gotta figure out my pricing too... I am thinking these will end up being $1 each... its really 2 cookies and filling... Interested in sampling let me know!!! QUALITY CONTROL, right?! lol

Logans cake will be my next project this week!
